von Echstedt Manor

Rustic elegance, symmetry and simplicity, biblical scenes and formal austerity are combined with flowery painting and curved Rococo furniture legs. The building features the most original and beautiful outdoor privy with roof paintings from the 18th century and a garden with fragrant herbs and 25 local Värmland varieties of apple trees.

Guided tours

Tours every day within opening hours at 12, 14 & 16. Duration 45 minutes During the tour, the main house is closed to other visitors. Pre-registration is made in the café or online. Included in admission.

von Echstedt Manor (von Echstedtska gården) is situated in Smedbyn, Kila parish, which is 20 km north-west of Säffle. Follow the sign from E 18 to von Echstedtska gården at Värmlands Nysäter. Approximately 7 km.
